Designer Bruce Munro has laid out 600,000 CDs on the grass in a Wiltshire field in the UK. Called CDSea, the installation forms a pattern with a path meandering across it. Munro appealed in the press and local radio for people to donate their unwanted CDs for the project, and 140 people helped to lay out the design over a weekend. The work will stay in place for two months, when the CDs will be recycled.
